The cost of a vasectomy reversal varies but there are some essential cost components.
Surgeon’s fee. In private surgeon charge a fee and there may be a gap. Each of our surgeons has a fee structure which their rooms will provide. The Gap will average around $3000.
Hospital fees. Very few are performed publicly. There is a small number for training purposes at some public hospitals which are therefore free. Most operations are done in the private sector and Medicare pays a rebate on vasectomy and tubal ligation reversal. Hence health funds cover the operation if your policy includes it.
Excess. Most health insurance policies have an excess which will be charged if surgery proceeds in a hospital.
Other costs. The anaesthetist will also charge a fee which is usually time based and will include a gap.
